I picked this up from a Hip Hop Record Shop way back in 88 just to see what this deep house craze was all about, and it was this compilation that turned me onto the more vocal side of house music. Every track on here is a killer, but the ones that really did it for me (and still do!) are Joe Smooth's - I Try - and Paris's - Learn To Love, two soulful cuts that were the blueprint for the sounds I’m spinning today!
