Dopo varie esperienze che lo hanno portato a suonare anche con Dizzy Gillespie e Kenneth Jackson, ha vinto il Globo d oro al premio italiano Nastro D Argento per la colonna sonora del film Sud del regista Gabriele Salvatores. Nel 2005 e stato scelto tra piu di 1000 artisti per suonare dal vivo al Palais de Festivals del Midem 2006 a Cannes. Il suo nuovo album Gimali esplora le varie sfaccettature del suono jazz contemporaneo tra tradizione, fusion e dance toccando le varie tendenze che oggi prendono il nome di Nu Jazz. Tra gli ospiti del progetto i cantanti Robert Lee e Annie Rock e il musicista Gherardo Catanzaro. Il disco e prodotto da Ohm Guru e Ninfa per la One Eyed Fish. His latest album 'Madrugada', which crossed jazz with electronic music and Brazilian beats, received an amazing response from critics and was Top 10 in iTunes Jazz & Latin charts in various countries. On his new work Gimal, produced by Ohm Guru and Ninfa for One Eyed Fish, Zone explores the various aspects of todays jazz sound among tradition, fusion and dance.
