| Promo Copy Tracklist A Lightform (Original Mix) B Lightform (Vardran's Chunky Funky Mix) Not the best Anjuna out there but not the worst, either. Vardran's creator, Grigore Daniel has given us an alternative to Progressive Trance with this one. Very techy and it does remind me a lot of the many productions of Sander Van Doorn, but in my opinion, it's nowhere near as looped. In fact, I'd say this style of Trance is more associated with Airbase's "Parc" alias than anything else. It has a dark and rough atmosphere to it. I guess the main reason "Lightform" isn't so high up on my list as so many of the other releases from Anjunabeats are is that this isn't my preferred style. Personal taste always did get in the way of my ratings! The fact that I didn't expect it to sound the way it does plays a big part in my final opinion of it too. I believe this vinyl wouldn't be all that appealing to a vast majority of Trance collectors, but it's just as likely I could be wrong as I think I am right. |
